College Transition Virtual Workshop

Join Transition Coach Sorel Roget and SelfWorks’ Psychologists Carly Teperman and Anusha Kumar for a powerful one-hour virtual workshop where college-bound teens prepare for this significant life change.

This interactive session addresses the essential practical and emotional aspects of the college transition while opening important conversations. Utilizing evidence-based activities, your child will identify potential challenges, develop tools for stress and time management, and learn ways to support independence while maintaining connection. Future college students leave equipped with the right questions to ask their college guidance counselor, and most importantly, with a map of the college experience they wish to have and an understanding of how to navigate this journey.

Space is limited to 10 students per session to ensure personalized attention and foster peer connection.

Peer Group Coaching

Sorel’s small peer group coaching sessions provide a supportive community where college-bound students connect, share challenges, and develop essential skills together. These intimate 8 – 10 person cohorts meet monthly to address common transition hurdles—from managing coursework to navigating roommate dynamics. This program runs through the first year of college to provide ongoing support.

Through structured activities and guided discussions, your child will build confidence while forming valuable peer relationships. Parents consistently report that group coaching offers their teens both practical strategies and emotional reassurance knowing they’re not alone in this journey. The collaborative environment amplifies individual growth while creating a network of support that extends beyond the program into college life itself.

Individual Coaching

Sorel’s personalized one-on-one coaching provides college-bound students with dedicated support tailored to their unique needs and challenges. Each coaching journey begins with a comprehensive assessment to identify specific strengths and growth areas, allowing Sorel to customize a development plan that transforms college transition anxiety into excitement and readiness for this new chapter.

These confidential sessions create a safe space for students to express concerns, develop self-awareness, and build essential college success skills. Through Sorel’s evidence-based approach and your child’s specific needs, they will gain practical strategies such as time management, stress regulation, and academic confidence while developing the emotional resilience needed for independence.
